Blog launch and such...

Ta-da! I suppose this shall mark the beginning of my blogging adventure, though it may be more of an adventure for those of you trying to read it! W-A-R-N-I-N-G while I'm well versed in social networking, this is my first go at a blog, so I'm anticipating it may be a little  messy. You know, potentially raw with the emotion that accompanies the unsurpassable joys and gut wrenching emotions that show up when  going hard after God's calling in your life means heading to West Africa.

Just something I would like to reflect on...
Check out the book "A Thousand Gifts" By: Ann Voskamp. I found her discussion of Eucharisteo to be not only insightful to the mind but enlightening to the soul. Below are some of my favorite quotes from the book.
"What precedes the miracle is thanksgiving, and it is a Greek word with a hard meaning that is harder yet to live. "
"The practice of giving thanks… eucharisteo… this is the way we practice the presence of God, stay present to His presence"
“The work we do is only our love of Jesus in action.”

Thanks for checking out my first blog. I'll try to add another post soon discussing more on trip prep.
To all of you...
Grace. Thanksgiving. Joy. Eucharisteo!
